Media Arabic Courses
The learner will acquire basic knowledge of Arabic such as understanding everyday media expressions, and phrases. His reading and writing skills improve and he will be able to identify and copy words and phrases he has learnt.
The learner will be familiar with frequently used face to face media expressions, and conversations on media routine matters, but the content is limited and supported by situational context. He can ask and answer questions, understands main ideas of the noncomplex texts, and will be able to write down simple notes and messages from the exchanges learnt but with mistakes.
The learner can understand the main points of clear standard headlines from Radio, TV and newspapers. But, he may not be able to sustain comprehension in extended discourse. He will be able to handle a variety of uncomplicated communicative tasks on headlines from Radio, TV, and newspapers. He will be able to read consistently with increased understanding the media headlines. At this stage, he will be able to write summaries of headlines from TV, Radio, and newspapers, and will be able to distinguish between past and present while writing.
The learner will be able to understand main ideas of media complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics. S/he can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. S/he will be able to produce either in speaking or writing clear and detailed texts on a wide range of subjects that he leant from Media, giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options, but writing is faulty.
The learner can understand longer Media texts and recognize implicit meaning. S/he can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read. Can summarize information from different spoken and written media sources. Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in more complex situations.
