Center Sidi Bou Said for Languages

We are pleased to announce our partnership with the Center Sidi Bou Said for Languages in which teachers, ideas and students are exchanged as part of an ongoing collaboration between our institutions.

The institute is located in a very good area in Tunisia, if not the best, in the level of geography, historyand security.  The picturesque Sidi BouSaid, minutes away from the capital city, is located on the Mediterranean coastwhich has traditionally been a crossroads between the East and West.

Students coming to Tunisia willenjoy its unique atmosphere and have the unique opportunity to relax fromintensive language classes with trips to the neighboring beaches locatedminutes away from the center.  Others mayenjoy revisiting the glory days of ancient empires through spending time at themany ruins of the neighboring city of Carthage or practice their Arabic while bargainingfor goods in the nearby traditional markets. Wherever you‘re from and wherever you want to go – Sidi Bou Said hassomething for everyone.

The award winning teaching staff are well-known and recognizedin their field and are all native speakers who specializes in Modern StandardArabic (MSA) but whose diverse backgrounds also gives students the option ofstudying the various dialects of North Africa, the Levant and the Gulf. The Arabic programs offeredthroughout the year implements a unique curriculum developed exclusively forCenter Sidi Bou Said by the teaching staff that is designed to reinforce theskills and confidence that students need to start practicing the languagequickly and effectively.  Every level oflearner from the complete beginner to advanced students is encouraged to beginexpressing themselves and communicating using the Arabic that they learn.

Course offerings range from basic Arabic to more specialized programs such as Arabic for Specific Purposes including diplomatic, economic, academic, medical and media purposes.  Cultural programming and recreational activitieshosted by the center provide students with many opportunities for interaction withthe unique mixture of students who come to the center ranging from local Tunisians and ex patriots to international students.
